Zamok is primarily a software solution, but it’s designed to work optimally with Advanced Kiosks hardware. While it can be used with any other Windows-based kiosks, care should be taken to ensure compatibility with your hardware.

What kind of support does Advanced Kiosks offer for Zamok?

What operating system does the Zamok kiosk software run on?
Zamok kiosk software is designed for Windows10 and 11. Note! Windows 10 will only be supported until 1/1/2026
Is there a Zamok manual?
There is no official manual for Zamok, but our “Workflows” section has some common configuration instructions: https://kioskmanagementsoftware.com/workflows/ In addition to that, the Zamok dashboard includes an AI chatbot that is trained to assist you with everything Zamok related.
Can users access any website on a Zamok kiosk?
No, Zamok features a secure browser with web filtering capabilities. Administrators can create allow lists to control website access in the Zamok dashboard.
Will my website work on Zamok?
Most likely. The Zamok kiosk side browser runs on a modified Chromium engine, for maximum compatibility with any web application or webpage. Some features are disabled for security reasons like file system access, location services and some experimental API’s. Contact us if there are any concerns about your webpage working with Zamok
How does Zamok protect user privacy?
Zamok automatically clears all user data (cache, cookies, logins) after each session or a period of inactivity. It also features download blocking and, optionally, FaceLock session security. Zamok does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) from end-users.
Can I customize the look and feel of the kiosk interface?
Yes, Zamok offers a drag-and-drop, WYSIWYG homepage editor to create custom kiosk interfaces. No coding is required. These are known as “homepages” and are the first the customer sees when interacting with your kiosk. A simple URL can be substituted for these homepages if desired.
Can users print documents from a Zamok kiosk?
Yes, Zamok supports silent printing to connected printers. Any printer should work with Zamok, provided that the operating system can access it. This includes network printers.
Can I receive alerts for critical kiosk events?
Yes, you can configure customizable email and SMS alerts for events like application crashes, connectivity issues, or printer problems in the Zamok dashboard. Standard message and data rates apply!
